Cupping is another form of therapy that we provide re-energize the body. It involves the use of cups to re-energize the blood flow in the body by using suction through the cups. The major aspect of cupping is that it heals pains, muscle spasm and muscle tension. They also promote cell repair which makes it all the more important in therapeutic healing. Cupping is of two different types and involves dry cupping and wet cupping and are applied based on the requirement.
You are advised to eat lightly before the cupping therapy and consult with your cupping therapist regarding the dos and don’ts. A Cup is placed on your skin which creates a vacuum and draws the muscle upward and inwards. Be prepared for a different experience in the therapy.
The therapy generally takes 10 to 15 minutes. It is however advised to have some extra time for the therapy. The therapy may change the appearances of the skin and lead to bruises and tinted marks. These will not affect the condition of your health and hence can be ignored.
The therapy may extend from a few days to a week depending on the condition and decision of the therapist.
Cupping is not fit during pregnancy and certain conditions which need to be brought to notice while consultation with the therapists. Any prior medical condition also needs to be informed to ensure hassle-free treatment.
